Good Evening, Poolies, and welcome to the world-renowned 4th annual American Idol pool! This year we have 49 people claiming to know talent when they hear it, and are willing to plunk down $5 to prove it!
Well my friends, the proof will be evident fairly quickly based on the wide variety of tastes displayed in your picks. For example, we have no clue how to rank Kris...we have him everywhere from 1 to 13, and everywhere in between. How can we be so divided, yet so united? (do I hear someone singing "Kum Ba Yah"?)
I have attached a summary of all of our picks so you can see for yourselves! Please let me know if you can't see the attachment and I'll figure out another way to get it to you.
After tomorrow's show, I'll email out a recap of the show and our point totals as of the first week. Remember, you do not want points! But alas, we will probably all get points.
And Simon has grandly announced that TWO contestants will be going home tomorrow. How this will work is the the 1st person announced out will be the 13 spot, and the other will be the 12 spot, and I will talley the points accordingly.
What should be interesting is how the voting will go with the dial-in phone #'s. I heard that Idol has only reserved the 12 numbers, and that if you dial the same # with a "13" at the end, you get a phone line that you would not want your child to be calling, if you get my drift! So we'll see how that one is handled!
